Our Philosophy
Alouette® Preschool – A dual language French and English school for children ages 3 to 5.
Alouette® is a place where children develop their self-esteem through rich experiences in a stimulating environment. We teach according to the interests of the children to create a well of positive learning experiences. We value communication skills, language and art as creative electrical outlets.
​With a ratio as low as 1:4, teachers have a close understanding of each child's development and unique approach to learning.
Each child is unique, each child learns and grows at his or her own pace!
WE LEARN
WITH NATURE
We grow together with a strong respect for Mother Nature. We learn from our trees and from all living things in our beautiful garden. Children learn to pause and listen to bird songs and watch them flying by. We teach students to pay attention to pollinators such as bees and butterflies and we watch our veggies grow and flowers bloom. We take opportunities for the children to question and investigate. We employ diverse natural materials as learning tools.
In addition to our natural garden, the outdoor exploration area includes a climbing dome, wooden playhouse and bridge, fairy garden, rock garden, stepping stones, and much more to stimulate imaginary play and physical activity.
We provide healthy and organic breakfast, snacks and lunch. We take it as a beautiful opportunity to learn table manners, “merci” and “s’il vous plait”. We enjoy conversations and the pleasure of sharing a meal all together.
